  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (for crumble)
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar (for crumble)
  • 6 tablespoons light brown sugar (for crumble)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt (for crumble)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly (for crumble)
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk (for glaze)
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let sit until foamy.
  2. Combine half the vegetable oil with the yeast mixture along with the all-purpose flour and salt to form dough.
  3. Allow dough to rise in a greased bowl for about an hour until doubled.
  4. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) and prepare a pizza pan with parchment paper and remaining vegetable oil.
  5. Shape the dough on the pan and bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Brush melted butter mixed with granulated sugar over the baked crust, then spread cherry pie filling evenly on top.
  7. Prepare crumble topping by combining flour, sugars, salt, and melted butter until clumps form; sprinkle over cherry filling.
