  • 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • black pepper
  • 1/4 cup avocado or sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • chili flakes
  • 12 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, tamari/soy sauce, ginger, green onions, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Roll mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and dredge in cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear meatballs for about 8 minutes until golden.
  4. Sauté broccoli in the same skillet for 5 minutes; add garlic and ginger for another 2 minutes.
  5. Mix tamari/soy sauce, honey, and water; pour into skillet with broccoli and bring to a boil.
  6. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce; stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  7. Serve over steamed rice garnished with sesame seeds.
