Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 slices turkey bacon, diced
  • 1 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar-free maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the diced turkey bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the grease in the skillet.
  2. Lower heat to medium and add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. Return turkey bacon to the skillet and stir in apple cider vinegar, sugar-free maple syrup, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-60 minutes until thickened.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth but still chunky.
