  • 1.25 cups sugar

  • 4.25 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • For frosting: 1 cup butter, 6 cups powdered sugar, 8 tbsp milk, 2 tsp vanilla essence, Sugar sprinkles, Black sugar pearls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, corn starch, baking powder, and lemon zest. Gradually mix into wet ingredients until combined.
  4. Roll out dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick; cut into bunny shapes.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden; cool on a rack.
  6. Prepare frosting by beating softened butter and gradually adding powdered sugar and milk until desired consistency is reached; add vanilla essence.
  7. Decorate cooled cookies with frosting and sprinkles.
