  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • 3 tbsp BBQ rub
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar.
  2. Slice garlic into slivers and insert into slits made in the beef roast.
  3. Combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, and BBQ rub; rub mixture on all sides of the beef.
  4. Place seasoned beef in the slow cooker on low heat for 8-10 hours until tender.
  5. Remove beef from the cooker; reserve one cup of cooking liquid before discarding the rest.
  6. Shred beef using forks and return to the crock pot with reserved liquid and BBQ sauce; stir to combine.
