  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1½ tbsp Old Bay seasoning, divided
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil until coated.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium; add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, remaining Old Bay seasoning, and reserved pasta water to create the sauce.
  6. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet; toss to coat everything evenly.
  7. Serve hot topped with fresh parsley.
