Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 12 cloves garlic, grated
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine flour, yeast, rosemary, garlic, and salt. Add beef broth and 1 tablespoon olive oil; mix until combined.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let it sit at room temperature until doubled in size (about 1 to 2 hours).
  3. Preheat your oven to 500°F with a pizza stone or heavy sheet pan inside for even baking.
  4. Turn the risen dough onto a floured surface, divide it into two pieces, and shape each into a round ball.
  5. Place each dough ball on parchment paper and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  6. Transfer one round onto the hot stone or pan and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and sprinkle half of the parmesan over it; repeat with the second round.
  7. For herb butter, melt remaining olive oil with butter; stir in basil, chives, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  8. Brush herb butter over warm bread just before serving.
