  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh pepper (to taste)
  • 12 slices white bread
  • 1 English cucumber

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Peel cucumber in stripes and slice it into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. Trim crusts from bread slices and spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on one piece of bread.
  4. Layer cucumber slices on top and sprinkle with additional pepper or dill if desired. Top with another slice of bread and cut into quarters.
