  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream cheese filling by mixing softened cream cheese, 0.25 cup sugar, and 0.5 tsp vanilla until smooth. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the cookie dough by creaming butter with granulated and brown sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix in flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Scoop dough portions, flatten them slightly, place chilled cream cheese filling in the center, and seal the dough around it.
  4. Roll each cookie ball in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 11–13 minutes or until edges are golden. Cool on a wire rack.
  6. Drizzle cooled cookies with icing made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
