Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ pounds party chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ⅓ cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon apple juice vinegar or white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F. Pat chicken wings dry and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, mix baking powder, ½ teaspoon salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Coat wings with half the spice mixture, toss gently, then add the remaining mixture and toss again until evenly coated.
  4. Line a baking tray with foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray the rack lightly with cooking spray and arrange wings in an even layer.
  5. Bake for 28-35 minutes or until cooked through and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  6. While baking, combine hot sauce, melted butter, garlic, vinegar, and remaining salt in a bowl to make the buffalo sauce.
  7. Once baked, toss wings in the buffalo sauce until fully coated and serve with desired garnishes.
