  • 400g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp mushroom-based oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • cup beef stock or water
  • 250g egg noodles
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Marinate thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 10 minutes.
  2. Boil egg noodles until tender; drain.
  3. Mix soy sauce, mushroom-based oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, chili flakes (if desired), and beef stock in a bowl.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat and sear the marinated beef until browned; set aside.
  5. Stir-fry minced garlic and grated ginger briefly; add broccoli and cook until tender yet crisp.
  6. Return beef to the wok, pour in the sauce, and toss with drained noodles until well combined.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or scallions if desired.
