  • 4 ounces bittersweet baking chocolate

  • 3 large eggs
  • 2½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chip chunks (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the chopped bittersweet chocolate and butter until smooth; remove from heat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour and cocoa powder until combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat sugar and eggs until light and fluffy; mix in vanilla extract and melted chocolate mixture.
  5. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined; gently fold in one cup of semi-sweet chocolate chip chunks.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chunks on top. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
