  • 1 cup spring-colored M&Ms
  • ½ cup Easter sprinkles
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9” round cake pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Gradually incorporate baking soda, salt, cream of tartar, and flour until just combined. Fold in M&Ms and sprinkles gently.
  4. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 19-22 minutes until edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
  5. For frosting, beat softened butter until smooth, then mix in powdered sugar gradually along with salt and vanilla. Add heavy cream until spreadable.
