  • 260 ml warm milk
  • 10 g instant dry yeast
  • 540 g all-purpose flour
  • 65 g granulated sugar (dough)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 80 g unsalted butter
  • 250 g fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 50 g granulated sugar (filling)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry filling by cooking strawberries with lemon juice and sugar until thickened, then blend until smooth and cool.
  2. In a stand mixer, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, butter, and egg, kneading until smooth. Let rise for about 2 hours.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread cooled strawberry filling evenly over it, roll tightly and slice into even pieces.
  4. Arrange rolls in a greased dish and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake rolls for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Prepare glaze by mixing cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cold strawberry puree until smooth.
  7. Once rolls are slightly cooled, drizzle glaze generously over them.
