Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, chopped small (80g)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted (113g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour (157g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the strawberries by washing and chopping them into small pieces. Pat dry to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, and salt until combined. Add egg and vanilla, whisking until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix in flour until just combined. Gently fold in strawberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are lightly browned and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Allow cooling before cutting into squares.
