  • 1 medium cauliflower
  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/31/4 cup water
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 45 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • sliced spring onions for garnish
  • sliced chilies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if using), and water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Toss cauliflower florets in the mixture until well-coated.
  4. Spread coated florets on a lined baking sheet and roast for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While roasting, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, Sriracha, minced ginger and garlic, honey (or maple syrup), cornstarch, and water in another bowl.
  6. Once roasted, transfer cauliflower to a bowl, pour over the sauce, and toss gently.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions before serving warm.
