  • 56 ripe peaches
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and melt the cubed butter in a baking dish for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until just blended.
  3. Toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup in another bowl.
  4. Layer half the peaches over melted butter, pour batter on top without stirring, then add remaining peaches.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until set and golden brown.
  6. For the drizzle, melt butter with maple syrup in a pan until boiling for 2 minutes.
