  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 8 oz lump crab meat
  • 4 oz claw crab meat
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella (cubed)
  • 1/4 cup shallot (minced)
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper (minced)
  • 1 tbsp parsley (freshly chopped)
  • 1 tbsp chives (minced)
  • 1 tsp garlic (paste or minced)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1 tsp parsley (freshly chopped)
  • 1 tsp chives (freshly chopped)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese, lump crab meat, claw crab meat, shredded mozzarella, cubed mozzarella, shallots, red bell pepper, parsley, chives, garlic, black pepper, and seasonings until combined.
  2. Shape about two tablespoons of the mixture into sticks.
  3. Set up a breading station with whisked eggs and panko breadcrumbs mixed with salt.
  4. Dip each stick in the egg mixture then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat canola oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry sticks until golden brown on all sides (about 3–4 minutes).
  6. Prepare remoulade by mixing mayo with parsley, chives, Dijon mustard, black pepper, onion powder, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and cayenne pepper if using.
  7. Serve hot with remoulade sauce.
