  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup hot coffee
  • 2 cups shredded phyllo dough (kataifi)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup pistachio cream
  • 4 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate bar
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add egg, vanilla extract, milk, and vegetable oil; whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in hot coffee gradually until fully combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For the pistachio filling, heat kataifi and butter in a pan until golden brown. Mix in pistachio cream.
  7. Melt chocolate and heavy cream in the microwave; whisk until smooth.
  8. Spread the pistachio mixture over the cooled cake and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
