  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour, for dredging
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • ½ medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and flour.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear the chicken until browned on all sides and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter, mushrooms, and onions; sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard and minced garlic; cook until fragrant.
  5. Add chicken broth while scraping up bits from the pan; return chicken to skillet and cook for an additional two minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream gently; heat through without boiling before serving.
