Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season sliced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if desired), salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove from the skillet.
  3. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Simmer briefly.
  5. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Add sliced chicken and combine well.
  6. Garnish with additional parsley or grated cheese if desired before serving warm.
