  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Blue gel food coloring
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for icing)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for icing)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes). Stir in sugar, egg, egg yolk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  2. Mix in flour and salt until combined. Knead until smooth, then add blue gel food coloring and knead until evenly colored.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise for about 1 to 1½ hours until doubled in size.
  4. For the filling, mix softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir in crushed cookies and mini chocolate chips.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly before rolling tightly into a log shape.
  6. Cut into rolls and place them in a greased baking dish. Let rise for another 30–45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare icing by beating cream cheese and butter together; gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
