  • 6 tablespoons Coca-Cola
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream
  • Crushed peppermint
  • Cherries
  • Chocolate curls

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a saucepan, combine Coca-Cola, unsalted butter, and cocoa powder; bring to a gentle boil and remove from heat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour and granulated sugar; pour the hot cola mixture over and blend until combined.
  4. Stir in buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Divide batter among cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool layers on wire racks.
  6. For the filling, beat cream cheese until smooth; add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. In another bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and fold into the cream cheese mixture.
