  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)

Instructions

  1. Season steak tips with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak until browned on all sides, then remove from heat.
  2. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook rigatoni until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan until melted. Season with salt, pepper, and additional Cajun seasoning if desired.
  5. Toss cooked rigatoni into the sauce along with reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Fold in seared steak tips.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and cracked black pepper.
