  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom to deglaze the pan. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, thyme, and optional red pepper flakes; simmer until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, cover, and let simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
